Performance audits
Audit MAP performance
- The measured MAP is influenced by gestational age, maternal age, weight, height, racial origin, cigarette smoking, family history of PE, history of PE in the previous pregnancy, inter-pregnancy interval, chronic hypertension and diabetes mellitus. Therefore, effective use of MAP in the calculation of risk of PE these factors need to be taken into account. This can be achieved by standardising MAP levels into multiples of the normal median (MoM) values.
- To assess the quality of your measurements you need to upload an excel file providing data for each patient. For instructions on how the excel file should be formatted, please click here.
- The application will use these data to calculate the MoM values for each case. It will then assess the results and highlight whether your values are within or outside acceptable limits. The distribution of your measurements, adjusted for maternal factors, will be presented in a graph of MAP against gestational age.
- If your results are outside acceptable limits, you will need to review your technique for measuring MAP.
